It was unveiled as G-slate earlier this month in the United States. It will be known as Optimus Pad in other parts of the world and is expected to be available around March after the MWC.
Until recently there was very little idea about the features and specifications of the Optimus Pad, now we have some idea regarding these. These features include:
- An 8.9 inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports both 3D and multitouch capabilities.
- The screen would have a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels.
- Nvidia's Tegra 2 dual-core processor would be powering the device.
- It would be having a Ram of 1GB.
- It will run on the latest version of the Android OS – Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
- It would be having a camera of 5 MP with dual LED flash. This camera would also be able to take 3D pictures. The Optimus pad would also have a front facing camera.
- The Optimus pad would also be having an internal memory of 32GB>It is expected that it would also be having the regular features like blutooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.
