Motorola XOOM tablet available from Feb 24th?

Motorola has recently revealed its latest android based tablet XOOM which the company hopes will give a stiff competition to Apple's iPad and give Apple a run for its money. It would be the world's first tablet which runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb. Honeycomb has been tweaked especially for this purpose

The XOOM tablet would be powered by a super fast dual core processor. It has both a front and rear end camera. It has a 10.1 inch widescreen HD display with a screen resolution of 1080 pixels and is equipped with Adobe and Flash Players.

Verizon wireless would be offering monthly data tablet plans of 1GB, 3GB, 5GB and 10 GB at various price bands from $20 to $80

Honeycomb's 'render script' and 3D engine give a complete new look to the system. The apps already existing in the android marketplace work just as well in the new environment. Gmail and Gtalk both work excellently on the XOOM tablet

It will most likely be released on 24th February with a price tag of $800, though the price tag is high for an iPad it is a device worth looking forward to.
