Samsung Galaxy S2 hits the FCC

Samsung Galaxy S II hits the FCC
In Spain, last month, at the 2011 MWC, Samsung introduced its new Galaxy S II Android phone. We had heard a few things about it here and there before the show, though. You may not have seen it yet but when you do, you’ll see that it’s a beautiful Android phone that will most certainly cause quite a commotion in the phone market.

Samsung has sent its new Android phone to the FCC for some additional bands. Their device, the GT-19100, obtained FCC approval for many bands, including Bluetooth. Other bands approved are GSM 850, GSM 1900, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, and bands II and IV in WCDMA .

We still don’t know when it will be released and who will be the first to offer it but, since the big players are already carrying the former Galaxy S model, it’s to be expected they will all jump into the frey. There are rumors that AT&T might be the first to offer Samsung’s new Super AMOLED+ packing device, but others should follow suit shortly.
