Amazon Kindle Fire HD, HDX Tablets Announced, Pre-ordering Started!

Amazon is trying to improve its market share with high spec low cost Android tablets. Adding to its tablets family, Amazon today announced two more models Kindle Fire HD and HDX.

Kindle Fire HD is a basic model among the two. Some of the specifications of Kindle Fire HD are:

• 7 inch screen
• 1.5 GHz Dual core processor
• Fire OS 3.0
• Dolby speakers
• Dual band WiFi

The best part about the tablet is, 8GB model will be available for just $139 while 16GB model costs you $169. Isn't it awesome?

The other model announced was Kindle Fire HDX. It comes in 2 variants, 7 inch and 8.9 inch. Specifications of this tablet are:

• $229 for 16GB model

8.9 inch model:
